Privacy Policy

Last updated 04 Sept 2026

This is a working draft, not legal advice. Have it reviewed by a lawyer before you take payments from customers.

This policy explains what Bilty Freight Desk stores on behalf of your brokerage, why it is stored, and what you can ask us to do with it.

1.What we collect

Two kinds of data. Account data identifies you and your company: name, email, phone, company name, GSTIN and address. Operational data is what you enter while working: loads, parties, trucks, drivers, invoices and payments. We do not ask for anything we do not need to run the service.

2.Why we hold it

To provide the service, to raise your subscription invoices, to meet Indian tax and accounting record-keeping requirements, and to support you when you ask for help. We do not sell your data and we do not use your operational records for advertising.

3.Who can see it

Only users you invite into your workspace, and only the parts their permissions allow. Data belonging to one brokerage is never exposed to another. A small number of our staff can access records when you raise a support request or when required to keep the service running.

4.Processors we use

We rely on third parties for hosting, payment collection and transactional email. Each one receives only what it needs — our payment provider, for example, handles card details directly and we never store them.

5.How long we keep it

For as long as your account is active. After you close the account we retain records for the period Indian tax law requires, then delete them. You can request an export or a deletion at any time.

6.Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address below and we will respond within thirty days.

7.Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored only as salted hashes, and sessions expire on a short timer with rotating refresh tokens. No system is perfect; if a breach affects your data we will tell you.
