1The service
Bilty is web-based software for transport brokers, fleet owners and goods transport agencies in India. It lets you record parties, trucks, drivers and loads, print and share bilties (lorry receipts), raise GST invoices, track payments, TDS and party ledgers, and export reports.
The free tools on getbilty.in (such as the Bilty Maker and GST calculators) work in your browser without an account. They are provided as-is, and these terms apply to them as well.
2Who can use Bilty
Bilty is for business use. You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to act for the business you register. The person who creates the workspace is its Owner and is responsible for everyone they invite.
3Your account and users
- Give accurate details when you register, including your company name, phone and GSTIN where you have one.
- Keep passwords private. Do not share one login between people; invite each person as a separate user and give them only the permissions they need.
- You are responsible for what happens under your workspace, including actions by users you invite.
- Tell us at [email protected] straight away if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
4Free trial
New workspaces get a 14-day free trial. We do not ask for card or UPI details to start a trial and we do not charge you when it ends. If you do not choose a plan, access to the app pauses until you subscribe; your data stays in place for the period set out in the Privacy Policy.
5Plans, fees and renewal
- Plan prices, limits and features are shown on the Pricing page and at checkout. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay for that billing period.
- Prices are in Indian rupees and exclude taxes. Where we are registered for GST, GST is added at the applicable rate and shown on our invoice.
- Monthly and yearly plans run for the period you paid for. If you set up auto-pay (for example UPI AutoPay or an e-mandate), the plan renews and is charged at the start of each period until you cancel. Without auto-pay, the plan ends at the end of the period unless you pay again.
- Payments are collected by our payment gateway, Cashfree Payments. We never see or store your full card number or UPI PIN.
- We may change prices for future periods. We will give at least 30 days’ notice by email or in the app; the new price applies from your next renewal.
- Refunds are covered by the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6Late or failed payment
If a renewal payment fails, we will tell you and retry or ask you to pay. If it is still unpaid after the notice period stated in that message, access to the app pauses. Your data is kept, full access returns as soon as payment is made, and on request we will send you an export.
7Your data
- Everything you enter (parties, loads, invoices, payments, documents) belongs to your business. We use it only to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- For personal data of your parties, drivers and staff that you enter, your business decides why and how it is used, and we process it on your behalf. You must have a lawful basis to collect it and must tell those people where required by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
- Only upload identity documents such as Aadhaar when you have a genuine need and the person’s consent.
- You can export your records from the app while your account is active. For 30 days after it closes, we will send you an export on request.
8GST, TDS and compliance are your responsibility
Bilty calculates CGST, SGST, IGST, reverse charge and TDS from the settings and values you enter, and prepares reports such as a GSTR-1 ready export. It does not file returns, generate e-way bills on the government portal, or give tax advice.
You are responsible for checking every invoice, tax rate, place of supply and return before you issue or file it, and for keeping records as the law requires. Please confirm your treatment of freight (forward charge or reverse charge, 5% or 18%) with your Chartered Accountant.
9Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In short: no fake or inflated invoices, no records of unlawful goods, no attempts to access other businesses’ data, and no misuse of share links or messaging.
10Third-party services
Some features rely on other services, such as Cashfree for payments, email providers, and WhatsApp for sharing. Their own terms apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for their outages or decisions.
11Our software and brand
The Bilty software, design, templates and brand belong to the business that operates Bilty Freight Desk. Your subscription gives your business a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is in good standing. Do not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or build a competing product from it. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.
12Availability and changes
We work to keep Bilty available and secure, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may carry out maintenance, and we may add, change or remove features. If we remove a feature that is central to a paid plan, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund for the unused period.
13Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent the law allows, the service and free tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties that they are error-free or fit for a particular purpose.
14Limitation of liability
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit, lost business, tax penalties or interest arising from your filings, or lost data you could have exported.
- Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, such as liability for fraud.
15Indemnity
You will compensate us for losses and reasonable legal costs arising from data you entered without a lawful basis, from your breach of these terms, or from invoices and documents you issued using Bilty.
16Ending the agreement
- You can cancel at any time from the Billing page or by writing to [email protected]. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, puts other customers at risk, or stays unpaid. Except in urgent cases, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
- For 30 days after closure we will send you an export of your data on request. After that it is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
17Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first; most issues can be resolved quickly. If a dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, it will be referred to a sole arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat and venue of arbitration will be Jaipur, Rajasthan, and the proceedings will be in English. Subject to this, the courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan have exclusive jurisdiction.
18Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will give at least 15 days’ notice by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Bilty after that, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can cancel.
19Contact
Notices to us: [email protected], Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. We send notices to you at the email address of the workspace Owner.
