Truck trip sheet format free download
A trip sheet is the driver's and owner's record of one truck trip: start and end kilometres, diesel, toll, bhatta, repairs and the advance given. Subtracting expenses from the advance shows what the driver returns or is owed. Fill one for every trip so you know the real profit per trip, not just the freight.

How to fill the trip sheet format
- 1
Download the trip sheet format as PDF and print it on A4, or open the Excel or Word file on your phone or computer.
- 2
Fill the top fields first: number, date, truck number and the parties. Use a pen on the printed copy or type into the file.
- 3
Note the odometer at start and end, then add every expense as it happens, with the litres for diesel. At the end total the expenses and compare with the advance: a plus balance is cash the driver returns, a minus balance is what the owner pays.
- 4
Check the amounts, get the signatures, and give each party its copy. Keep one copy for your records.
Frequently asked questions
How do I find the profit of a trip from the trip sheet?
Take the freight you earn for the trip and subtract the total expenses on the sheet (diesel, toll, driver bhatta, repairs and other). Divide by the kilometres (end minus start) to see profit per km. The sheet also shows the balance against the advance.
Who should fill the trip sheet, the driver or the owner?
The driver notes expenses on the road and the owner or munshi checks and totals them on return. Both sign at the bottom, so there is no argument later about diesel or bhatta.
